Karen Stubbs serves as a Fraud Investigator and Tax Justice Fellow at The Walton Firm, where she focuses on tax resolution, compliance strategy, criminal defense, and IRS representation.
As an Enrolled Agent and accomplished financial executive, Karen brings decades of experience helping individuals and businesses navigate complex tax and financial challenges with confidence.
Her extensive background includes leadership roles at Citibank, Merrill Lynch, Fleet Bank, and GK Venture Partners, where she oversaw compliance, audit, and financial operations at the executive level. The experience that she provides is a rare dual perspective on both regulatory enforcement and client advocacy.
At The Walton Firm, Karen assists taxpayers with Offers in Compromise, installment agreements, criminal investigation support, and strategic negotiation with the IRS. Her approach blends precision, compassion, and practical insight—ensuring each client receives both protection and empowerment.
Karen is an Enrolled Agent and Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Bernard M. Baruch College.
Outside of her professional life, Karen enjoys floral design, baking, decorating, and peaceful mornings with family. A grounding reminder of the purpose behind her passion for advocacy and service.
