RUBY 'RENEE' CROSS, EA

Renee Cross serves as a Tax Discovery Specialist at The Walton Firm, where she assists with the review, organization, and analysis of tax records and financial information in matters involving tax professional compliance, due diligence, and tax investigations. As a federally licensed Enrolled Agent, Renee brings a tax practitioner’s perspective to the firm’s discovery process, helping identify relevant tax issues, documentation, and information needed to support the firm’s defense of tax professionals.

In addition to her work with The Walton Firm, Renee is the owner of DTA Financial Services Unlimited, LLC, where she specializes in tax preparation, tax resolution, IRS and Illinois Department of Revenue representation, and small-business services. She also serves as a Level 4 Tax Expert with Intuit TurboTax, further expanding her experience with individual and business tax matters.

Prior to joining The Walton Firm, Renee dedicated 32 years of service to the University of Illinois Chicago, where she served as a Business Manager. During her tenure, she earned the State of Illinois Certified Business Administrator certification in 2020. Committed to continuing her professional development, Renee is currently pursuing her National Tax Practice Institute (NTPI) Fellowship through the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP).

Beyond her professional work, Renee is committed to serving her community. She is actively involved in her church, where she serves through the Youth, Outreach, and Media Ministries.
